Introduction: Some Voices Should Never Be Heard
They say silence is safe.
But what if silence hides something darker?
What if the quiet corners of your home... are listening?
The House on Elmswood Lane
Maya, a freelance writer, moved into the old house on Elmswood Lane, searching for peace.
No neighbors. No noise. Just her and her stories.
But the house had a story of its own.
On the very first night, she heard the floorboards creak like something crawling underneath.
The First Voice
Three nights later, at 3:33 AM, a voice whispered from beneath her bed:
"Help me."
It was a child's voice. Cold. Faint.
Maya checked the room. Nothing.
Then she knelt down and placed her ear on the wooden floor.
The voice came again:
"I’m still here."
She Tried to Escape
Terrified, Maya tried to leave the next day.
But her car wouldn't start.
Her phone had no signal.
Every road she took circled her back to the house.
It was like something — or someone — was pulling her back.
The Forgotten Journal
In the attic, behind old paint cans, she found a dusty leather journal.
It belonged to a boy named Ezra, who lived there in 1958.
The last entry read:
“Mommy said I talk too much. She said the voices were inside me. So she locked me under the floor. It’s dark. The voices won’t stop. They never sleep.”
The Floorboards Moved
That night, again at 3:33 AM, Maya sat still. Listening.
The floor beneath her began to move — not shake — lift...
As if something underneath was pushing upward.
A small pale hand emerged. Then a second.
And slowly... a child’s face peeked out.
Eyes hollow. Voice soft:
“I waited for you.”
Vanished
Maya was never seen again.
But the house remains.
Still cheap. Still quiet.
And if you listen closely at 3:33 AM...
You might hear Ezra whispering too.
Final Warning
Voices Never Sleep — and some houses never forget.
So if you hear a whisper in the dark…
Don’t answer.
Don’t follow.
And for God’s sake…
Don’t pull up the floorboards.
