Intro: Your Reflection Isn’t Always Yours
They say mirrors reflect the truth.
But what if they show something that isn’t yours?
What if… the thing looking back is not you?
The Antique Store
Rameen loved collecting old things — books, radios, clocks.
One day, she found a dusty mirror in a forgotten corner of an antique shop.
Tall. Cracked. And heavy, like it was hiding something.
The old shopkeeper warned her:
“That mirror doesn’t reflect. It remembers.”
Rameen laughed and bought it anyway.
The First Glimpse
At night, the mirror fogged up.
No reason. No one was near it.
Then, in the center, a handprint appeared — from the inside.
She wiped it.
Her reflection smiled… but she didn’t.
Whispers Begin
For days, she heard soft whispers at night.
Always from the mirror. Always the same voice.
“Let me out… please… I’ve been here so long.”
She tried to ignore it.
Until one night, the voice whispered her name.
“Rameen… you look just like me.”
Trapped
Curiosity became obsession.
She spent hours staring into the mirror.
She started seeing flashes — a girl who looked just like her.
But older. Eyes hollow. Face pale.
“They locked me in,” the voice said.
“Now one of us must stay…”
The Switch
One morning, her friend Sana came to visit.
Rameen stood by the mirror. Smiling strangely.
Her skin pale. Her movements stiff.
She didn’t blink.
“You okay, Rameen?”
She tilted her head.
“I’m not Rameen anymore.”
Gone
The real Rameen was never found.
But if you visit her house…
That mirror still stands in the hallway.
Sometimes, at midnight, you’ll see two reflections:
One real. One waiting.
Final Warning
Never trust the thing behind the glass.
Never talk back to your reflection.
And if it smiles when you don’t…
Run.
