Introduction: What If the Static Isn’t Just Noise?
When the screen goes fuzzy, we change the channel.
When the radio crackles, we move the dial.
But what if… the static is alive?
What if something — or someone — is trying to come through?
The Late-Night Signal
Ahmad loved old tech — especially his vintage TV set from the 70s.
No cable. No apps. Just the raw hum of static and broken signals.
He liked to leave it on while he slept.
Then one night, around 2:14 AM… the screen changed.
Not a channel.
A face.
The Smile in the Snow
It appeared for a few seconds — faint, flickering.
A man’s blurry face.
No eyes. Just deep black sockets.
And a mouth that slowly stretched into a wide, impossible smile.
Then it vanished.
Ahmad assumed it was a glitch. Until the next night…
The same face. Closer.
He Speaks
The third night, the static buzzed louder than usual.
And through the distortion, a voice whispered:
“Let me in…”
Ahmad turned off the TV. Pulled the plug.
But the voice continued — through the radio, the phone, even his laptop speakers.
“You watched me. Now I’ll watch you.”
The Footprints
He started hearing footsteps around the house — soft, crackling like static with every step.
At first in the hall.
Then outside his bedroom door.
He covered the TV with a cloth.
But that night, it turned itself on.
And the Static Man walked out of the screen.
Gone
Ahmad’s body was never found.
Just a room with the TV playing static…
And a faint outline of a man burned into the floorboards.
Now, that vintage TV is back on sale — in a thrift store outside town.
Still works.
Still plays.
Final Warning
If you ever see a face in the static — look away.
Don’t listen.
Don’t watch.
Because once he knows you’ve seen him…
He’ll want to see you too.
